STUDENT HANDBOOK

Welcome to THE PARK ENGLISH SCHOOL, Kolkata!

We are glad to have you as a student in our school. This student handbook is a guide to help you understand the rules, regulations and expectations of our school. It is your responsibility to read, understand and follow the guidelines set forth in this handbook.

Attendance Regular and punctual attendance is essential for academic success and is a major factor in determining student progress. Students are expected to attend school regularly and on time. Absences must be supported by a doctor’s note or parental permission. If a student misses more than 30% of school days, they may not be allowed to take the final exams.

Code of Conduct We strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe and respected. All students must adhere to the school’s code of conduct, which is outlined in the student handbook and posted on the school website. Any violation of the school’s code of conduct will result in disciplinary action.

Discipline We are committed to creating a safe and respectful school environment. Disciplinary action may be taken if a student exhibits behavior that is disruptive or violates the school’s code of conduct. Disciplinary action may include verbal warnings, detention, suspension, or expulsion.

Academics Students are expected to do their best in their academic pursuits. We provide guidance and support to ensure that our students reach their full potential. All students must follow the academic calendar and be prepared for tests and exams.

Student Rights and Responsibilities All students have the right to a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment. We also expect students to take responsibility for their learning and adhering to the school’s code of conduct. All students are expected to respect the rights of teachers and other students.

Technology Our school uses technology in the classroom and for communications. All students and parents must follow the school’s guidelines for using technology, which are outlined in the student handbook.
