Our Code of Conduct
DISCIPLINE
1. Children who come late to school, are untidily dressed, fail to bring their books to school or do not prepare their homework are likely to be sent home. Parents must accept full responsibility to see that their children have all their books, complete their homework, preparetheir lessons and bring the
correct books for the day. They must inspect the School diary for notices and messages and they must sign the
diary daily.
2. Children found possessing objectionable literature, books, pictures etc. will have their names removed from the school rolls.
3. School property damaged or destroyed will be required to be made good. Students causing such damage may be suspended.
4. No pupil is allowed to leave the school premises without the written permission of the School authorities.
5. Parents are reminded that students are not permitted to carry mobile phones to school. If these are found with students in school they will be confiscated and the
students will be suspended.
6. Cases of violent behaviour and use of abusive language will be viewed very seriously. Parents will be called and the student may be suspended on this account.
7. Discipline is an integral part of the educational system.Without discipline a child will neither do well in studies not will he/she grow into a good human being. We urge parents to work with us in achieving this objective.
8. Wearing the proper uniform is an essential part of school discipline. P. T. uniform must be worm on days when the
class has P.T.
9. Use of Mehendi is strictly prohibited.
10. Wearing of ear rings and nose rings are not allowed under any circumstances. Only Stud ear rings will be allowed for girls.
11. Girls must come to school with their hair tied neatly. Boys are not permitted to sport stylish haircuts and must trim
facial hair (beard).
12. The school reserves the right to suspend children on grounds of indiscipline. Repeated indisciplined behaviour may lead to
rustication. Parents are requested to visit the school whenever called upon to do so.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The school makes provisions for Cricket, Football, Athletics, Nature Club, Elocution, Quiz, Dancing and Karate. Participation in the Co-curricular activities of the school is compulsory since this is a part of the total process of education. A child may be exempted only in special cases on the written request of the parent if sufficient grounds exist.
ATTENDANCE
a) A pupil must put in at least 75% of the attendance.
b) The absence record page of the school diary must be entered when a pupil has been absent and a valid explanation provided and signed.
c) Pupils who are absent for more than a month without prior information will have their names struck off the School Rolls.
d) Pupils must produce a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner when they are ill for two days or more.
e) Pupils must not attend school when they are ill or affected with infectious diseases.
f) Half-day is not allowed under any circumstances. MINIMUM ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT Entry to ICSE (10) Examination and ISC (12) examination in the case of eligible candidates who are being entered for the first time is restricted to candidates with a minimum of 75% attendance of the working days each year of the two year course at schools affiliated to the Council.
Parents of Class IX, X, XI & XII students are requested to take note of the above rule laid down by the Council.
GENERAL
1. Parents are strictly forbidden to talk to teachers or the children while the classes are in session. If it is a matter of urgency they must approach the Principal for permission to do so.
2. All correspondence concerning the pupil or school must be addressed to the Principal only.
3. In all correspondence with the school parents/ guardians should mention the full name of the pupil together with the
class and section in which he/ she is studying.
4. On no account are children allowed to wear expensive watches or jewellery to school. The school accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of the same.
5. Parents/ Guardians are requested to refer to the School Calendar regarding Term holidays in planning their vacations. Requests for leave of absence prior to the official closing date of the School will not be entertained and such absences will be viewed seriously.
6. Applications on behalf of pupils for attending marriages or other religious functions outstation should reach the Principal two whole weeks prior to the ceremony and should have the written sanction of the Principal. Applications received less than two weeks before such ceremonies will not be accepted.
7. Pupils who rejoin school late after the vacation without prior permission are liable to be suspended / have their names
struck off the School Rolls.
8. We urge parents not to give excess tiffin money to the children.
9. Giving presents to the staff is not permitted.
10. Pupils are permitted to buy snacks only from the those
authorized by the school during recess.
11. Parents of children in the Junior School must collect their wards on time so as to avoid inconvenience to the school.
12. The use of unfair means in an examination will be viewed very seriously. Students using unfair means will be severely penalized. They will not be given any marks in that particular paper.
13. Parents are requested to ensure that the school is kept informed in writing of any change in address and contact telephone numbers.
14. It is expected of parents / guardians to meet the Teachers / Principal whenever they are called to do so. It is only with their co-operation that we can impart education to the children.
15. A counselor is available on prior appointment to discuss problems of their children.
